1.Brian is stranded near the L-shaped lake and he is very far away from his home. He is also in the wild and has no nearby "home" to go to , so he treats the shelter as home.

2.This sentence tels us that he is afraid of the wildeness and wishes to go home and he must also be shocked of the plane crash.Having this condition , he's state of mind must be the sentence stated on the blog for Team 3.

Q1 Brian thinks of his shelter as "home" as he goes back to his shelter to rest during the night or when he is tired ,just like when he is at home.

Q2 This sentance tells us how much Brian misses home , how much he did not want to be away from the shelter and how much he wish that he is at his shelter.

1.He is stranded near the L shaped lake and was alone in the wild he had no place or 'home' to go. So he treats his shelter as home and rested there just like as if he was home.

2.He was scared in the wilderness and shocked with the incident of the crash he also was troubled by the 'Secret' so his mind is at the state of the sentence on blog for Team 3.

1.Brian goes back to his shelter to rest and the shelter is just like a home, can keep him dry if there is rain and can keep him warm if the weather is cool and can keep him cool when the weather is warm.Since Brian treats it as home, the shelter must be the most comfortable place he can find too. 2.This sentence tells us that he is afraid of his surroundings and wanted to feel the comfort of his home in the shelter by tricking his mind that he is already at home so that he will not be so afraid that organisms will attack him and could have a good sleep

Reflection on Hatchet Debate

Within 1 hour, 39 pupils spoke out and shared some of their thoughts on a given topic and in so doing allowed others to have insight of their own beliefs and values - think of the 'Perfect Home' discussion.

I would like to applaud the 39 individuals for bringing such a professional quality to the debate - all contributed to its success and the 'energy' that resulted from this concerted effort will be converted into greater motivation for 6 Grace.

Please take time to reflect and share your thoughts on the following:

How did this debate affect my perceptions of myself?
In what ways did the debate fit my learning style?
Has it influenced the way I perceive English and Literature?
What did the debate show us about the 'tricks' authors use to captivate the heart and mind of the reader?

I had such pleasure hosting the debate and I felt the true magic of 6 Grace.

Please post your thoughts. Thank you.
